The first two episodes were unremarkable but 3 and 4 are keepers.

I feel sorry for the innocents .... the siblings . I mean, can you imagine them trying to get their friends over for a Sleepover?

Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
I think the whole purpose of this Doc and I am on the 6th episode is to basically say their is fuck all evidence on the McCann's so leave them alone.

I have no problem with that no evidence means no evidence, but god do they come off as cold and callous every time I look at them.

I dislike them because they have never in my opinion admitted to how wrong they were to leave their three baby girls alone it is almost as if what they did was perfectly normal and that is bollocks, the place even had baby sitters at the ready had they wanted one, The other thing I hate is the campaign to find madeleine that has now gone 8 years past its sell by date, God forbid anyone go through the hell of a kidnap, but it now looks ridiculously pathetic that they are still asking people after almost 12 years if they have seen their daughter

I can’t get my head around leaving your kids in the apartment when you went out for dinner and drinks.

Me and the missus went away last summer with a 2 year old and never let her more than a few feet away from us. We had drinks on the balcony in the evening or we’d bring the buggy downstairs and let her fall asleep in it. Not in a million years would I think to leave her in the room while we went anywhere.

No evidence of a break in/abduction, but we all somehow have to believe it was...

But they never left just a 2 year old alone, did they. Not condoning it but there were 3 kids in that room. Would imagine plenty do it all over. I never found that part of it that shocking, you just don't expect someone to steal your children in a 5 star hotel resort

Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
The other kids were younger you mad cunt!

For me, it’s absolutely mental that anyone would leave any toddlers in a room while they go out.

Maddie was sick that day too.
Depraved cunts.

Oooh, another online hardman.

Shame no-one stole you as a kid you mick cunt

Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
The younger ones were babies so would just cry and disturb the neighbours but not go anywhere.
Madeline was mobile so she was well drugged up and going nowhere.
What could go wrong?

PARENTING WITH THE McCANNS

Mmmm lovely tapas. More vino, dear?

When my kids were small we wouldn't dare go out and leave them.
They'd come with us or we just wouldn't go out.
We'd never forgive ourselves if something happened.

Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
One of the bits of McCann logic that does my head in, is they day they left the patio door open in case there was a fire.

So they considered fire a possibility, but still left the children alone. And in the event there was a fire, the McCanns thought their 3 kids under 4 years of age would be responsible enough to make their own escape via the patio door.

The mental gymnastics they employed, just to make it OK to go on the piss with their friends and leave their children undefended, is staggering.

And this is Kate McCann, a GP who would have had regular mandatory child protection training. She would quite likely have been called on by social services to give evidence against parents on her GP caseload in cases of suspected child neglect.

Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
They either did it, or at the very least are to blame for the abduction.
Either way they should face charges.

And all the while they get a free pass from the press and travel the world banking more money.

Nurse Ratched 12:06 Sat Mar 16
Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
I think if they did it, they would have slunk away onto safety and obscurity as soon as it was possible to do so. You wouldn't keep drawing attention to yourself and tempting fate by asking the Met police to keep investigating, etc.

I don't see how they would have had the chance to hide the body. The press were following them everywhere and camped out outside their villa/apartment.

There's no physical or forensic evidence of abduction.

Maybe she walked out of the flat and was taken or run over or something. When the news initially broke, my first thought was she had wandered out of the flat looking for her parents.

Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
In which case they should be facing charges for negligence.

I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old, I could not even comprehend leaving them alone at night in any situation.

Nurse Ratched 12:17 Sat Mar 16
Re: So anyway this mccanns Netflix documentary
I agree.

I don't know what the Portuguese law is regarding leaving small children alone. I don't know if they could have been charged in Portugal, and if so, why they were not.

In the UK, I don't think the law states a minimum age from which children can be left alone. As I understand it, you can leave children of any age alone, and if no type of harm comes from them, you get away with it. However, you would be prosecuted in the event that harm DID happen to them due to being left alone. Something like that.

I don't know if anything can be done by the UK authorities, given that the incident happened abroad.
